The Columbus filter consists of several layers of specially perforated paper overlapping one another and they provide a large capturing area. Openings of one layer are organized opposite the previous layer. In circulating air, turbulence is caused and this results in catching of solid particles on individual layers of the filter.
Moreover, each layer of the filtration paper has a different structure. The openings are gradually smaller and smaller and upper layers get clogged more slowly than the bottom ones. This causes a regular load on all paper layers and the filter gets clogged equally in its entire depth. This all contributes to the high holding capacity and long lifespan of the filter.
Where high efficiency of filtration is required, it is necessary to use Eurosupra filters. Several layers of filtration paper on the outlet side are complemented by a layer of synthetic filter medium of different structures.
Columbus filters are intended for separation of overspray of paints and lacquers in dry spray booths and paint shops. With respect to the fact that filters have a high holding capacity and a very good efficiency, it is possible to use them for practically the majority of liquid paints, e.g. base, waterborne, top, bake-dry, polyurethane, primers, stains, epoxides, glues, etc.
Filter CI-Standard (CI-S) consists of six perforated paper layers. Each layer has a different size of openings, from the biggest to the smallest.
Roll 1.06 x 12 m
Both types consist of five paper layers. The filter CI-Eurosupra I (CI-ES I) has the sixth layer on the outlet side made of a fine synthetic filter fabric.
Filter CI-Eurosupra II (CI-ES II) has this layer made of a rougher material.
Roll 1.06 x 10 m
The filter CI-High Capacity (CI-HC) consists of eight layers of perforated paper with a different structure.
Three inlet layers have extremely large openings. The filter has a high paint holding capacity.
Roll 1.06 x 10 m
The filter CI-High Capacity Eurosupra (CI-HCS) combines the advantages of the filter CI-HC and Eurosupra II.
It consists of seven paper layers with a various size of openings and from one layer of a synthetic material which is on the outlet side of the filter.
Roll 1.06 x 10 m
The installation kit is intended for attaching Columbus filters.
Kit contains: grille, hook, and lid.
