Coatings are applied by spray gun or by using a roller and brush. They are either transparent, white or creamy colour. Coatings are easily removed from surfaces.

Andreae ﬁlters are composed of two folded, solid cardboards pieces which are glued to each other in bends. Openings on the front side are located asymmetrically against the openings in the rear wall. When the air goes through the filter, the airflow is changed in all axes.

In the rear wall, created by deeper bends in the V-shape, pockets are created to capture separated liquid particles.

### Principle

The air flow saturated with liquid particles, e.g. paints, is accelerated in the flow through the filter and multiply changes its direction. Particles heavier than air are separated from this stream by inertia. The air escapes through the outlet openings of the filter, while particles of paint are accumulated in the capturing chambers.

### Use

By using inertia, Andreae filters capture very efficiently aerosol cloud, which is created by the spraying of all types of liquid paints and lacquers, binding agents, adhesives, epoxide resins, solvents, asphalt, gels, tar, Teflon, polyurethane, vinyl, oils, grease, glaze, etc. Generally said, filters can be used everywhere where it is necessary to remove liquid particles from blowing foggy air. Andreae filters can be used independently or as a prefilter in multi-level filtration systems.

### Advantages

- Accumulation of paint outside the airflow slows down the increase in differences in pressures and air velocity. Lifespan of Andreae filters is 3-5 times longer than that of flat, fleece filters.
- Filters show high stability in the air stream. The front V-shape wall prevents the reflection of overspray. The employee remains in a clean environment and the air stream around the sprayed objects is stable.
- The folded structure of filters is very strong, it resists suction of ventilation and does not collapse even when it is relatively full.
- Filters with easy and quick exchange. They reduce operating costs for maintenance of spray booths. 

### Filter Andreae Original

Basic filter, used as a prefilter in multi-level filtration systems, where it captures the largest part of liquid particles of paint and protects the following level of filtration (usually an expensive synthetic filter) from early clogging. In the capture chambers of the Andreae Original filter, there is up to 5 times more paint captured than in standard fleece filters. The filter is equipped with a strap which prevents it from excessive stretching.

### Filter Andreae HC

In the type Andreae HC, there is a paper strip on the front side which partially overlaps the inlet holes. The effect is multiple: even capturing of paint overspray, reduction of pressure losses when filling the filters, capturing the oversprayed paint on the surface of the paper strip, higher holding capacity up to 10 – 40 %.

### Filter Andreae HE

This type of Andreae filter connects the advantages of an Andreae filter and a filter from synthetic fibres and thus it is regarded as two filters in one. The HE type has a layer of synthetic filter on the outlet side. In place of two filters enrolled in a row, two frames, double labour costs when swapping the filters and a larger inventory, it is possible to solve all this with Andreae HE filters.

### Filter Andreae HP

Combines the advantages of HC (High Holding Capacity) type and HE (high efficiency) filter type. The filter has a paper strip glued on the front side and on the back a synthetic filter material. Andreae HP filter achieves very good results in the separation of overspray of paints at low costs of maintenance of spray booth.

We offer various types of tacky foils and non-tacky foils for floors, doors, desks, walls, windows and lamps. Tacky foils contain adhesive and they are used for protection of surfaces in paint shops against their pollution and damage during painting. Foils are easily removable and do not leave residues of adhesives on the surface.

Non-tacky cover foils for cars are made of polyethylene and protect cars and their parts against pollution and work as a protection against overspray.

Tacky mat is an anti-dust mat which allows capturing of dust or impurities and thus significantly reduces the possibility of bringing impurities to clean rooms. By walking over the mat, dust and impurities from shoes are captured. 

Covering papers protect floors against pollution and overspray.

### Sedimentation device EWACLEAN 100

A compact device intended for cleaning of rinsing and waste waters containing waterborne paints, emulsions and adhesives.

The device works in semi-automated operation.

Performance: approx. 100 – 200 litres / 1 hour.

The device is designed for operations with a small production of waste waters.

#### Function of the device

1st Cleaning phase

Rinse water is pumped into the reactive part of the device. The process of mixing is initiated on the control panel. This causes homogenization of pumped waste water.

2nd Cleaning phase

During mixing, the relevant quantity of proposed reactive product is dosed manually. The mixing process automatically ends after about 10-15 minutes and the sedimentation process starts.

3rd Cleaning phase

After the end of sedimentation (approx. 10 minutes), the draining ball valve PVC DN 50 mm is opened. The entire volume of the reactive part is released through the draining boxes with a filtration bag. Cleaned water is automatically pumped to the sewerage system. The captured sludge is thoroughly drained in the filtration bag after about 30 minutes.

### Filterzelle-Glass (FZ-G) 

FZ-G filter consists of a paper frame and a medium made of glass fibres, so-called Paintstop. Filtration glass medium has a progressive structure, meaning it thickens towards the outlet side of the filter. The result is a higher holding capacity of dust particles.

Moreover, the medium is impregnated with an adhesive substance, increasing accumulation of rough dust particles at very low pressure loss. Glass medium is fixed to the cardboard frame.

### FILTER INSERTS Z-LINE

Filter inserts Z-line consist of folded synthetic filtration fleece which is inserted into the stable frame, impregnated against humidity, made of cardboard with a protective grille on the inlet or outlet side.

Z-shape folded filtration medium allows high air flow at low pressure loss and small installation depth. Filtration medium is reinforced with a net and cannot regenerate.

Standard building depths are 48mm, 96mm, 147mm. At the customer request, we can deliver depth from 25 to 150 mm.

The Columbus filter consists of several layers of specially perforated paper overlapping one another and they provide a large capturing area. Openings of one layer are organized opposite the previous layer. In circulating air, turbulence is caused and this results in catching of solid particles on individual layers of the filter.

Moreover, each layer of the filtration paper has a different structure. The openings are gradually smaller and smaller and upper layers get clogged more slowly than the bottom ones. This causes a regular load on all paper layers and the filter gets clogged equally in its entire depth. This all contributes to the high holding capacity and long lifespan of the filter.

Where high efficiency of filtration is required, it is necessary to use Eurosupra filters. Several layers of filtration paper on the outlet side are complemented by a layer of synthetic filter medium of different structures. 

#### Field of use 

Columbus filters are intended for separation of overspray of paints and lacquers in dry spray booths and paint shops. With respect to the fact that filters have a high holding capacity and a very good efficiency, it is possible to use them for practically the majority of liquid paints, e.g. base, waterborne, top, bake-dry, polyurethane, primers, stains, epoxides, glues, etc.

Filter CI-Standard (CI-S) consists of six perforated paper layers.
Each layer has a different size of openings, from the biggest to the smallest.
